While the glow of the moonlight makes failed attempts
to light the path in my way
The shadows of broken limbs and night creatures
Mask the one true path to plan my escape
Sounds of buzzing and hums of the unknown
Envelope the surroundings that engulf me
Minutes seem like days as I trek through the mangled cospe
My direction is a blurred array of shapes and sounds
Senses pick up, a helmsmanship of the murky landscape
A longing to find the one true path
The number of steps continue to add up
The monotony of repetitive steps, left, right, repeat
Until the effulgence of the moon reveals the final embankment
